"Psychotherapy is a promising trip for a more satisfying and balanced life"

Early Beginnings

I was born and raised in the picturesque city of Heraklion, Crete, where I nurtured my curiosity about the complexities of the human mind. This fascination led me to pursue a career in psychology.

Educational Milestones

In 2016, I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Crete in Rethymnon, earning a degree in Psychology and becoming a licensed psychologist. My dedication to expanding my knowledge and skills led me to numerous seminars and workshops. These experiences equipped me with valuable techniques and methods to enhance my therapeutic and counseling practice, including relaxation techniques, Mindfulness, and expertise in addictions and forensic psychology.

Mastering the Art of Positive Clinical Psychology

In 2023, I achieved a significant milestone by earning my Master’s degree in Positive Clinical Psychology and Technology from the University of Twente. This intensive program refined my skills in Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness techniques, and the application of Positive interventions.

Further Professional Development

·       In 2019, I embarked on a comprehensive training program in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at the European Institute of Counseling and Psychotherapy (EICP), certified by the European Federation of Integrative Counseling & Psychotherapy and the Ministry of Education. This laid the foundation for my expertise in evidence-based psychological approaches.

·       In 2019, I attended the “Mental Health Promotion and Suicide Prevention” conference, hosted by the Psychiatric Department of the General Hospital of Crete, in honor of World Mental Health Day.

·       In 2020, I delved further into my counseling journey with a one-year postgraduate program in Applied Counseling, provided by the Center for Applied Counseling and Psychotherapy.

·       In 2021, I attended the introductory seminar on ‘Psychotherapy of trauma & basic principles of body-focused psychotherapy of Gestalt’ from the Center of Personal Development, adding valuable insights to my therapeutic toolkit.

·       In July 2023, I further honed my skills by completing a training program on “Managing Stress in the Workplace,” underlining my commitment to comprehensive mental health support.

Professional Experience

My professional journey has been enriched through various experiences:

·       A 6-month internship at the Anti-Drug Agency (OKANA) of Rethymnon.

·       Voluntary work at the Youth Counseling Station of Heraklion, where I conducted briefings in schools and applied relaxation techniques to help students succeed in their exams.

·       Two years of supervised private practice.

·       A 6-month internship (February-July 2023) as a Clinical Psychologist at AX CLINIC in Greece, where I engaged in various facets of mental health care, including psychodiagnostics, patient communication, psychoeducation groups, integrating positive psychology interventions, and offering sessions to patients with diverse conditions, such as depression, schizophrenia, and dementia.

Volunteering Commitment

During my journey, I’ve been fortunate to contribute through volunteer work as well:

·       At the “Counseling Center of Youth’’ in Heraklion, Crete, I dedicated about four months to support young people and parents. This center focuses on addressing the unique challenges faced by today’s youth. During my time there, I visited high schools in Heraklion, offering support to students and parents navigating various interpersonal difficulties. I also took the opportunity to educate them about bullying and stress management through relaxation techniques. Additionally, I participated as an observer in individual therapy sessions.

Continual Growth

My commitment to growth extends to continuous education through conferences and seminars, ensuring that I remain updated with the latest developments in the field. Additionally, I work closely with a supervisor to ensure the efficiency of the therapeutic process.

Beyond Psychology

Beyond my professional pursuits, I find joy in Latin dance, mindfulness practices, exploring new destinations through travel, and expressing my creativity through sketching.
